The nucleus is the 'control centre' of the whole cell. It sends out 'chemical messages' to all the parts of the cell, to control the cell's movements.and it is surrounded by a liquid called cytoplasm.
The Cytolpasm is a jelly-like liquid, this is mostly made up of water and chemicals that are combined together also the Cytoplasm fills up the cell. The cell membrane surrounds and holds all the cell together. The cell membrane is also "semi-permeable"( it means that it will allow chemicals to pass through but not all of them)so that is why it is also responsible for controlling the chemicals that exit and enter the cell. The Mitochondria supplies the cell with the energy that needs to function properly. The energy is sent through the form of ATP(adenosine triphosphate). |
